Our Stay in Kingston Suites Hotel in Bangkok

Updated Jul 17, 2013 (first published Dec 2012) - Leave a Comment

It was a difficult decision for us to choose the right hotel in Bangkok, when considering that this city offers so many different accommodations at a really good price. After some research, as we didn’t know this big city and its best areas, we decided that we would like to stay near Sukhumvit Road area.

After a long comparison between hotels and research we chose the Kingston Suites Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi15. I used Agoda for booking the accommodation. It cost us 151 euro for 3 nights. We didn’t regret it. We had access to shopping malls, where we could buy anything we wanted (Terminal 21 was a few hundred metres away from our hotel). There was a market, Seven 11 shop, lots of street food near by and restaurants. We felt quite comfortable. Most famous temples were about 40 minutes away from us by taxi (not more than 9 km far away, but there was a traffic). It took us around 30 minutes to get to Chinatown, using taxi as well.

The staff of the hotel was very friendly and polite. All of them spoke ok english. We had a clean room, which was made up every day. The hotel itself was quite clean. Breakfast was nothing special, but good. Hot thai food: vegetables, rice, fish, meat, soup of the day and also bread, corn flakes, fruit, juice (1 flavour), water, tea and coffee, milk. We could ask for fried/scrambled/boiled egg.

If you head to Bangkok and decide to stay in Sukhumvit area, and if your budget is no more than 50 euro per night, I highly recommend Kingston Suites Hotel. We were very happy with it!
